Nathan Johnson, 23, of Cove was born October 26, 1989 and passed away Friday, April 12, 2013 in a Houston hospital. He was a 2008 graduate of Barbers Hill High School. He was a member of the Missouri Street Church of Christ and the family"" Catfish Mafia."" Nathan had a passion for Christ, loved being outside fishing and hunting and always surrounded himself with the people he loved. Known for his kind heart and beautiful eyes, Nathan left his footprint in the hearts of many.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Sandra Johnson. He is survived by his parents, Ronnie Johnson of Cove and Nikki and Jerry Sparks of Humble; sisters and brother-in-law, Kayla Johnson of Cove and Jordan and Andrew Sargent of Uvalde; grandparents, Ron and Linda York of Humble and Clifford and Jean Johnson of Troy, ME; Great grandmother Ruby York of Mountain Home ID; aunts and uncles, Clint and Connie Johnson of Cove and Aaron and Holly York of Cypress; and cousins, Candice and Chris Young of Cove and their children, Jesse and Kaylee and Chad and Christian Johnson of Mont Belvieu and their children, Colton and Cameron.
His family will receive friends at Navarre Funeral Home Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. at Navarre Funeral Home with David Smith officiating.

Nathan was a very kindhearted and friendly guy. Every time he was on-site at KSBJ, he was always working hard and had a big,warm, contagious,smile! He will be sorely missed.
